Hospice Support

Your pet will receive specialized care as defined by your veterinary team, and the family will gain practical guidance during the process.

I have lost some wonderful pets of my own, so I know how tender but overwhelming their dying process can be. Along with my vet tech experience, I am certified in Animal Hospice Foundations and The BrightHaven Guide to Animal Hospice: The Animal Dying Experience (certification pending). Combined, these allow me to provide exceptional support during the end-of-life phase of a beloved animal companion.

If your veterinarian approves in-home hospice, I can manage the work involved with terminally ill pets in hospice care, including wound care, hygienic maintenance, and being present during the active dying process. Ms. Meliss' Pet Care hospice support fees vary depending on specific needs and the length of each visit.

Disclaimer: Ms. Meliss' Pet Care does not euthanize animals. Only those who legally can are licensed veterinarians, licensed veterinary technicians, and certified animal shelter euthanasia technicians.
